The Murder of a King
PART ONE
I remember in the Dancing Donkey Inn we used to dance and tell stories...
One of my favorites was “The Murder of a King” and unlike the other stories, this one was real.... This was very real. In fact, even though the truth was uncovered, no one believes it anymore.... But I can tell you everything I know about this so let me start....
Jennifer was a beautiful 13 year old girl, who was living in a nice house by the palace of the king. These were dark times though. Zamorak ruled the land with his iron fist killing anyone who disobeyed him in anyway. He used the worst methods of torture including making them go into the feared wilderness. She hated Zamorak for he killed her parents and now she had to raise her 10 year old brother.
Now Zamorak on this gloomy week was coming and the castle was bustling with everyone helping to prepare it. She muttered, "Saradomin help us through these hard times and please help all who were killed," while clutching her Symbol of Saradomin. She worked hard, for she wanted her life.
She entered the room of the king and heard someone say out loud, "I've waited for this for 2 years!” She saw the figure take an iron dagger and stab the king.
The king screamed and the king's guards came quickly. One tall guard said, "What in the name of Zamorak?” He looked at Jennifer and tackled her to the ground. She was dragged into the darkest cell in the dungeon...
The other guard said to her, "You will be spared until our lord comes... And he will give you the most painful death..."
Jennifer yelled defiantly, "It wasn't me! It wasn't me! It wasn't me but someone else a wizard teleported out!"
She wept hard and the stout guard said, "Save it for Zamorak. And you know that no one can teleport out of the castle...." He tossed her into the dungeon.
