A Soon-To-Be Hero's Adventure
One day something popped up from the thresholds of Tut Isle, born in November a hero planning to play Runescape. At first he thought this was a combat game where you kick each others 4ss, but no it was different....
Chapter 1: Harmonia Runescape
November 17, 2003
Whilst I was searching RealArcade for something to do I stumbled on Runescape, looking at the photo it remined me of Grand Theft Auto, so I decided to click on Runescape. The hero choose world 1, (it really was world 3 but back then that hero didn't know), and so he entered Runescape.
There was a log-in screen, he put new user what'd had he planned for his name? Some Lazy Driver, but it'd only fit Some Lazy Dr, but our hero choosing (Well Some Lazy Dr sounds good, I meant it's not driver, but it's better: Some Lazy Doctor is the name they think the hero picked, but it was Some Lazy Driver in reality, and the hero STILL has to remind people Driver, not Doctor) anyhow, he choose that and he put in his password beep391023012467 (this isnt the real pass), and so our hero logged in and played: Runescape
At first he didn't know what to do, people were talking to this person and leaving the room so he decided to do the same, and he did, he talked to the welcomer (forgot the name, I planned second accounts but changed me mind) and moved on through the tutorial, but not knowing what to do 3/4 of the time he decided to well just do the tutorial. Once he got to the last part it said (the social tutorial) Press enter to speak, and follow these rules!
So our hero was transported to Lumbridge which looked fabulous and different. He wanted to go to the wilderness to fight (back then like I said I thought Runescape was a fighting with guns genre), and so it took him about 40 minutes to find the wilderness. (Even though I remember it was north it took a while cuz our character didn't know of any of the lands.) Anyhow he entered the wilderness and wondered why it was spooky and dark, then one person came up and said:
Do you wanna train! I know a great spot!
So I followed him to what I now know is the Ice Plateau which I thought was in the middle-west of the wilerness. There's some ice knight's go kill em, so I tried but died the second I went up there (This is the memory which makes me scared to try killing deadlier monsters that breath fire... took me ages to kill giants...)
He died and lost all his junk and some more but his Weapon, wood sheild and something else.
This though, gave me the chance to learn the joys of mining, but it took 5 days....
Yes the hero is me, but they'll be three parts. That's part one (Me Noobie woo hoo)
And the title says, soon to be hero. That's no joke. I only need Dragon Slayer and Zanaris quest to do hero's quest... I have 55 quest points exact. I'll be using my pointy poisoned thing after I get 60 attack and Zanaris quest.
Chapter 2: On The Noob Again: How I started mining.
Whilst I was exploring around Varrock (Varrock was like a maze to me at the time), I found a few rocks. Maybe I thought to myself, maybe I'll mine, after all I need to get some armor!) Allthough I had full bronze at the time, I had a medium bronze helmet.
At first I begged for a pick-axe, then I decided to raise money. I decided to use my axe to chop a tree. One of the tree's seemed IMPOSSIBLE to chop, so naturally of course I used other trees. Eventually I raised a few gp. Then I sold it at the store which took ages to find. Then well I decided to peek up the ladder and I saw a spade and knive, aha I thought to myself I can make money using this so I can get a full helmet like everyone else! I did collect that, allthough I did get 1gp per knive, I must remind you when I was a noob, 100gp seemed like 100k to me... But yes I did get that many to get 243gp, I said: Buying Bronze Pickaxe 243gp no one buged.. This was world 3 RSC back in November...
Eventully after exploring a way to Lumbridge to Varrock and the way to the Varrock General ( I have no clue how I lost Varrock General ) anyhow, after a little while whilst on my quest to look for a pick-axe, I went to lumbridge general to find one. There was three! Aha! There only 1gp each! I'll buy all of them! And so I got my pick-axe, but then again it was TIME TO MINE! WOO! Anyhow, I started mining both ores, and eventully I went to the furnace: It requires tin or copper and so from the next day on I made bronze bars! Then I saw someone make weapons! I wondered how can I make weapons, then I asked and someone replied: Get a hammer, use it on a bronze bar.
I had about 30 bronze bars so I decided to make daggers! I thought, I'm going to be rich! I'm going to have iron armor! Before long I was able to make short swords and well complete bronze!
December...
Ah yes, the month I join RuneHQ was also the month I became a expert on smithing, but then suddenly mining wasn't fun.... I was a little dissapointed, but when you ask me to smith I'll smith. This holds true today, Allthough I have to smith allmost 350 steel bars to get a full smithing level.
Anyhow back to the story.
Whilst I found the new towns of Port Sarim and Draynor Mansion/ Village I was eager to see more. I decided in the morning I'll go to Falador (BTW I thought Port Sarim was like Yanille to Falador, (the distance to Varrock to Port Sarim) I was a mere level 17, wearing full iron. Whilst I went to Port Sarim, I passed through a beautiful town (Falador), which I wanted to see in the morning. That morning was December 8. I went to Falador, where there I was going to the castle and finding another general store (general stores are the noobs buying shop, believe me...) I was happy. Whilst I was exploring, I decided to mine at Rimmington mine... That was the day I found about making iron......
Chapter 3: The Noob to Champion.
I decided to go out to the newly found town of Falador, I had been here twice before. Once when I thought this town is odd, but nice and has everything, and that once was when I found this town on accident..
BTW I Didn't Know The Names of Towns Other Then Lumbridge and Al Kahreid or Al Kahirid (That's the names I thought was the name town, now I know it has Al Karheid 'proper spelling'.)
Anyhow, In exploration I eventually found a anvil south of Rimmington near the Ice Cave... That was the anvil I used until......
Sometime in December, I found a mine called The Drarfen Mines, at first I thought it was the best mine in the world until...
Scorpions, Oh Great!
Scorpions: Killed me three times, whilst trying to mine in Al Karheid. The scorpions were like KBDs to you people (Lvl 90s and up), and scorpions are like the KBDs to level 10s-20s. Even if you brought food, they'd kill you eventually. And when I saw further down the tunnel, King Scorpions I shivered.... I thought, maybe one day I'll go down there and mine.....
Anyhow, I mined iron and smithed it to gain about 3k a day smelting a selling, which meant soon enough I'd be able to buy mithril. A friend of mine, and my first friend Dragonchuan (Retired Now, Allthough Now I'm Better Then Him......) he was the one who let my mind wander, and he let me find the Rimmington mine, anyhow he was selling Mith for 10k, and soon enough I bought it. Oddly enough after I had mith, everyone stopped calling me noob. But one day I showed him a dungeon where I trained on muggers...
Welcome to the Blurite Mine! Look, there's Muggers which r ez and fun to kill, and down there are the fearsome Pirates... Beyond there I dunno... But once I saw something even scarier then a Pirate, something called a hobgoblin chase this person to this ladder here and he was wearing addy with a rune 2 hander, anyhow... I'm going to train do you want to? He said ok, but he went down to the Pirates.... I (believe it) trained on Muggers till I was level 29....
But... back to the timeline, anyhow eventully I hit Full Iron (WOO-HOO.. SECOND TIME, A BIT HARDER THOUGH. I'LL BE RICHER! AND HERE COMES STEEL WHEEE!) Anyhow, I started mining in Barbarian Village for coal... and I went to the drarfen mines for iron... Then I got intrested in fishing...
Chapter 4: Karamja, The Time To Fish... And our hero learns to fish.
Karajma, The Time To Fish
Ah Port Sarim, I decided to see where that boat went to. Gave me a surprise, I had about 260gp on me.... I went to check the place out, it looked cool, bought a karajma ale, and I went on me way, but I came across a pier with A LOT of people on it fishing, I wondered... I went off the island back to Port Sarim (or the bank, god knows) to get a net... I went back and fished the night off. I logged off from 11:30-12:30, I was a level 6 fisher....
But, unfortunely, well never mind.... Oh right, I forgot what happened after then, (I do think I have a short-term memory loss disorder, that's why I can actully tell you what happened, as it was shall we say "dreamlike" to myself now....)
Anyhow, I went down to smith Iron, got level 30, and I started smithing steel.... But.... There is one more part.... That 'IS' dreamlike, but it's about two days from this point.....
Groundhogs vs. Penquin- Odd Days Galore......
Ah, alas whilst I was preping to mine some iron, when suddenly there was a peition, I heard join the groundhogs(Some Lazy Dr, Head Sir after three days when the clan sort of died), join the penquins (Dolphin Fan's Clan). These rings would continue into early RS2, when we'll penquins died (Dolphins Fan I met here... we became sorta like USA and Russia... I thought there was a third clan the dolphins, lol... Fan kept saying there is no dolphins, and I thought cuz I saw "dolphin" members, go deja vu....).
Anyhow, It was a odd sight. I was a level 42, and there was 'AT' least 300 people there going between the Drarfen Mine (Groundhog HQ) and Ice Mountain (Penquin HQ). Anyhow, this WAS one of the most important days of my Runescape life, as later in the story you'll find out).. We had a HUGE flame war, ah well it WAS fun, and funny to...... Eventually the groundhogs died, until......
Chapter 5: The Whales.
A fewer more days later.
Completed Black Knights Quest, Joined Champ's Guild
I was going to look for groundhog members, and whilst I was down there in full mith, so were three other people, oddly enough ex-groundhogs.... So we made a clan called the whales, requiring full mith or higher to enter (eventually it was level 30 entry with iron or better armor, now if the clan still was working it's level 50 and at least 1 guild in entry or hit the road I want people who remember RS1 and can help the clan, once it will be reincarnated if the RuneHQClan dies, which WILL not happen anytime soon I hope....) Funny thing is we all wore full mith, and since it was the first clan I 'EVER' made, we decided to start rounding up members, that day was sunday and we rounded up to 35 members, it was the only day the clan existed (not really, we did reunion one day to kill lessers, 15 of the 35 joined that reunion), and now well it's dead I dont even make junk on the site, except sometimes allthough I dunno why no one goes there... Anyhow, I made The Whales, which is a clan experiance I will never forget. I decided to end the legacy the day I joined RuneHQ (Clan). The experiance, will allways be remembered by me forever... And one day to create a clan so good one day... Not today though....
That is the first story of the Hero Of Legacy..... Some Lazy Dr...
Anyhow, because I want this published VERY SOON... I will 'speed' things up, it'll contain a wee bit faster tale....
How do I relate him as and as not as myself? Because he is and he is not myself...
