The new Graphic Artists that were hired are overseen by him. Moderators were hired on the 12th and one was lost to fatherly duties. The site welcomed Firkl0ver, Gnat88, Pirate Bob49, Henry-x and patgil2003 into its ranks. Skill Guides and Quest Guides alike were submitted and included within the site. Guides including: Thieving, Cooking, Fishing, Mining, Scorpion Catcher, Gnome Cooking, Family Crest and The Grand Tree. This has been an exciting month for RuneHQ and much more will happen in the coming future. By Ariendiablo RuneScape News: RHQ Keeping You Updated Well, after Guthix returned late last month, Runescape has had many changes with the help of Jagex. On May 5th, we all had a pleasant surprise when we logged in to find we had more bank space. The sound of cheering could be heard across the world by the gods themselves. Treasure Trails were a gift from the Gods as well that day. We discovered that various NPC’s on the Member’s servers would occasionally drop clues. This started a phenomenon all around the land of Runescape. We found that the clues would lead us along a trail to another clue and then another. Some with coordinates, others with challenges. A rare drop indeed was this clue and we were warned that the stronger the monster, the harder the clue. Of course, this would lead to more valuable treasure, but the trick would be in solving the clue. Amazing re-growth speed of the secondary ingredients we use in our potions. How our gods love us. On the 10th, dueling Rangers were filled with delight as their arrows were returned to them from that point on. All they had to do was look in their inventory to find the arrows that had been on the ground during the fight, magically appeared in their inventory. In case you don’t already know, the dueling arena is located North- East of the city of Al Kharid. Flowers were introduced as well. Many a would be gardening Runescaper must have brought that up to the Referees that flowers were finally an option in the dueler’s arena. No jewelry for duelists who chose this option. No amulets, no rings. Fire Giants have moved in under the waterfall. Where there were only a few or so before, many more are there now. May 18th: a day to make Quest lovers smile. A new quest was introduced that day where one could help a family of Ogres feed on their favorite food: the Chompy Bird. All one had to do was help Rantz make arrows for his bow. Just travel east of Ogre City and it’s just north of the swamp pool. On the 24th, Hiscores improved to include the top 500,000 players in every skill. Only if your level was 30 or above would you show up on that list. Time to start working on your favorite skill. Finally, on the 25th of May, Jagex released an updated version of the Runescape world. Return to us next month for an update on what’s happening in a little world known as Runescape. By Ariendiablo May 5, 2004 - "Bigger Banks & Treasure Trails": This is the first update of the month. I guess I should get up and start doing my job. Ok, first: RS players have a bigger bank; 25% larger to be exact. That equals to 12 more spaces for you f2p people, and a gigantic 48 more spaces for the p2p people. Now that’s more space to put your huge ash collection, or to keep your favorite horsies in (Which I know every one has >_<). Second: the Treasure Trails. I can't say much on that subject. All I can tell you is that NPC’s (Non-player characters) drop clues, which lead to other clues, which leads to treasure. From what I can tell, the treasure could be anything. You will just have to play to find out. The earlier opinions do not express the opinions of ladynaomi1 or any other RuneHQ writers. Please keep in mind that the opinions are MY opinions, and are to be taken with caution. Made from concentrate. Do not use if you suffer from constant back pains, or if you have a left big toe growing out of your ear... By Shadowishere Recent Updates - Direct from Runescape.com 10th May 2004 - Dueling changes Rangers now get arrows back from duels. Previously when a duel ended a ranger would be teleported out, leaving all the arrows they had fired on the ground. Now they get the arrows put back in their inventory at the end instead. New duel options Flower power - Duelists must fight each other wielding flowers. No Jewellery - Have a duel where you can't use amulets or rings. This option was put in as these objects can still be used if you select no weapons and no armour. People were commenting that the fire giants under the waterfall were getting overcrowded; they will be happy to know the giants have now increased in numbers there. Thanks The Jagex Team Reported by Monkeychris |
